I can't believe the mov...What a stupid premise. I can't believe the movie wasn't laughable. Well. That said, the novel should have been also. But it wasn't. It took some hella work to make this silly thing go. Nice to see Scott Smith [if that <i>really</i> is his name...] go from the mundane (A Simple Plan) to the goofy (The Ruins)and make them both work. Well. While Raimi did a very nice job with the first, he still didn't take it as far over the top as the novel. Now, I haven't seen The Ruins, but it would take a damn <b>genius</b> to make that sucker work on film. Anything even slightly less should look fucking stupid.
