When he couldn't get the...I never saw the film. When he couldn't get the movie out of hock, he still turned a few bucks from it. He had lots of still shots taken from various scenes in the movie. And he had the script which he turned into a really awful novel. He was able to sell the novel heavily illustrated with all of those stills that he and others had shot. It was published by one of the many soft-core porn publishers that were around in the 60s and 70s. I used to have a copy. In fact, I had a number of Ed Wood's soft-core porn novels. They were even worse than his movies--totally unreadable.<br /><br />From what I've read in interviews with people who wrote for those outfits Wood likely got several hundred bucks for it. Enough to keep him in booze and a sleazy roof over his head for a couple of months, I reckon.
